A Baby for Aniston?
Over the weekend, it was reported that Aniston dropped $300,000 on a nursery! A baby looks promising for the future, a baby boy in fact. She's even decided on a name, Alexander, after her half brother, Alex. She's excited to adopt the baby boy from an LA based adoption agency and finally, "settle down". She loves LA and thinks it will be a great place for the baby to grow up. This is a big step for Aniston and the press is sure to continue. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Celebrity adoption seems to be the trend these days. I know that there is a balance between being a celebrity and having a regular life "just like us," but I kind of wonder how these adoption agencies go about separating the two. Being a celebrity is a lot of work and not always the most conducive environment for raising a child. Being single also makes it infinitely harder to get approved in the process. So I wonder.. do celebrities go through the same process we do? Or do they get special treatment for their celebrity status. How do agencies know that it isn't partly a push for more publicity? Situations like these show that in some cases celebrities really aren't "just like us."
That is so exciting! I didn't hear anything about that and I am so glad for her. Pre split she looked radiant and happy and had a glow about her. Since brad left her she looks old and tired. I am really glad she will have some family now.
I agree that the whole adoption trend is getting rediculous. I am concerned that celebrities are adopting for the wrong reasons. For example Angie and Brand can not possible take care of one more child. Is it fait to thrust these children into the crazy and not-so-healthy life of a celebrity?
On the other hand I am sure that the life of luxury, no matter how crazy, is better than a foster home or whatever. Also, since celebrities have gone public with their adoptions, adoption rates around the country have spiked. I think celebrities have caused the stigma srrounding adoption as "weird" or "abnormal" to decrease. For better or worse I think orverall its a good thing.
